Daily scented pleasures is a must!

To some they “have” to have that cup of coffee (or two), or perhaps its tea.  For me its my scented treats for my warmers:

A day does not go by that I do not have something yummy in my warmers.  I have two warmers always on, one in bathroom, one in the kitchen.  When I have my scent of the moment in, the entire house just smells so good!  Doesn’t that look delicious up above?  The scent of that cookie is Pink Sugar Cookie Dough Bread!

I can go without coffee or tea for a day, even a month or two, but my melts?  No way!  These are a must have!  I love to share them with others, and my sister in law loves them just as much as I do.  When she comes over if I have received any new scents since she has been here, I always pull them out and we have a sniffing party LOL

I order frequently from Old Primitive Treasures!  As a matter of fact I don’t use any other melts, or candles in my home unless they are from Lara!  She makes just the best.  I have never EVER had any scent trigger a migraine and just sniffing a candle at Yankee Candle in the mall or those candles at stores like their brands or Glade scented stuff does.  These are a slice of heaven to me!

Each and every day I have something new in my warmers, sometimes I am just not ready to change it and enjoy it another day or two (or even three).   I never want to run out!    Some of my favorite scents are Lemon Berry Twist, Cinnamon Sugar Crescent Rolls, Grammy’s Berry Flapjacks,  Candy Corn, Orange Caramel Crumble, Pistachio Pudding Cake (which inspired me to actually bake a Pistachio Pudding Cake), a custom blend I call Hot Sticky Sweet (Pink Sugar and Lemon Berry Twist), Banana Nut Muffin, Carrot Cake, Pumpkin Cheesecake, oh man I could go on and on and on!   Grammy’s Fresh Baked Bread, yes you are reading that correctly, and it smells like the real deal, and if I make a pot of chili in the crock pot, I have fresh baked bread in the warmers.  (Grammy’s Berry Flapjacks with a ham in the oven talk about HEAVENLY SCENTS)

These are my daily sweet treats!  My must have, my addiction!  The best part?  Hubby loves them just as much as I do and never EVER a complaint when I order, but always a request for something he likes, like Grammy’s Blueberry Muffins.  (My dad’s weakness?  Black Licorice)

Shopping with Tater Bug!

It seems the week has started out on the busy end, with having to get emission tests done on our car and then taking my sons for him because of their hours at work, they wouldn’t get there in time.   But yesterday was a good day for Grammy!  You see I had to run a few errands so my daughter and grand daughter came along.

Isn’t she just a cute little tater bug!  She is 9 months old today!  I love here so much, more than words could ever express.  I wish I got to spend more time with her than I do.  After the weekend I had with my daughter I didn’t think I get to see her anymore.  Sometimes sitting back and trying to keep your mouth zipped closed is very hard.  I try and bite my tongue because I know I won’t get to see my tater bug if I don’t.  But at that point I had all I could take, I thought I was going to pop!   I wish I could just have the baby, just pick her up bring to Grammy’s for a while or even over night!  But for some reason my daughter won’t allow it.  I told her and her boyfriend both, you complain that your (his) mother doesn’t want to do this with his kids (he has children from previous marriage) and here I am begging to be an active Grammy!

I wanted to color eggs with all of them this year.  I have asked so many times to bring the kids over (pick em up) when he is at work and we all do something, or they all could come here.  We didn’t even get to see his kids open our presents this year.

Just look at that baby above.  She has her first tooth already!  When she is in my arms, or just looks and gives me that Grammy I love you smile, those kisses, you know where they reach for your face and hold it and kiss you,  the rest of the worries, and cares of the world just melts away!

I thank God for this beautiful baby, and every time I get to see her, to hold her I thank him over and over again!

A gift I will forever treasure for Easter

This past Friday, I was talking to my dad on the phone and we were talking about me picking up some candy for him to give out when he comes here on Easter Sunday to visit.  When we talked about what to get everyone asked “what about you, what do you want?”.  I knew on Saturday he was going to be having breakfast with the Easter Bunny and a few other themed activities that he was excited and looking forward too.  So I said to him “all I want for Easter is a picture of you with the Easter Bunny”.  He laughed and I said I was serious.  So he said okay and he give it to me when I was up to visit Sunday.

And there it is!  I scanned it!  Who would of ever thought I would have a picture of my dad sitting with the Easter Bunny?  This is a gift I will forever treasure.  I am getting a frame so I can hang it on the wall, I am!   These are the best treasures ever in life!

Eggs and Bunny Ears

Today I didn’t get to go and see dad, because if this nasty headache/migraine I have had since I woke up.  I did call him and we talked on the phone and he told me to stay home and take care of me today.  I expected him to be upset and disappointed I wasn’t coming, but he did have visitors yesterday (My nieces and nephew).  Since I didn’t go out today I thought I do up these eggs:

I thought since dad enjoys delivering mail and the papers each day to the patients, I came up with this idea of putting a piece of chocolate in a plastic egg so he can give them out for Easter!  I have 150 eggs each with a Hershey’s Kiss!  I even bought dad some bunny ears he can wear, which I hope he does but when I told him he had said okay, laughed and said but they might send the loony wagon for me!

This Saturday they do have Breakfast with the Easter Bunny and some activities with that.  However you were suppose to RSVP and pay if you were going to attend.  Dad told me not to sign him up weeks ago then last night when we talked he was telling me about the party on Saturday and how excited he was about it.  I called the Activities department to see since he didn’t RSVP and came in would they let him stay, and not eat or something.  They called me back and told me not to worry, dad was included and since he worked with the department (delivering papers and mail) I didn’t need to worry about paying.  So I am very excited for him!  I hope he gets his picture taken with the bunny!  I think I am going to hint that tomorrow when we talk and say boy I sure love a picture of you with the Easter Bunny!  Maybe he will and give to me!
